I like books — like, a lot. Every time I read, I have this habit of mentally stepping into the world the author has created. Sometimes I imagine myself as the main character, and other times I’m just a silent observer, watching the story unfold from the shadows. It honestly makes the whole experience richer — like I’m not just reading the book, I’m living it. I start noticing the little things authors sneak in, and it’s such a joy.
A while back, I read Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman (such a lovely book, by the way), and I found myself absolutely loving the character of Loki — the Norse god of mischief, fire, and unpredictability. He wasn’t fully good or evil, but this chaotic middle ground that somehow made everything more interesting. He’d stir things up, cause trouble… and yet sometimes, he’d be the one who helped fix things too.
Honestly? I kind of relate. I do like to mess around and stir things up — in fun ways, of course 😄 — but I also love helping people, making things better in the end. So yeah, if I had to be someone, I think I’d happily channel my inner Loki.
What about you? Which character would you step into, and why?
